This idea really took shape from a simple question Shrey and I were tossing around while discussing design options: what if we wrote down the idea of an origin literally on the product?
That’s when we thought of using coordinates on the packaging. The debate then became—should we go metaphorical, like the coordinates of something like - where the moon’s rays first touched the earth? Or keep it literal, like using the locations of the ingredients? We played around with both ideas and built a stripped-back visual identity around it.
The typography was kept lean, with a degree symbol added to the main logo. The color palette was monotone—shades of grey with strong typographic lettering across the packaging.
The client ended up going with a different direction, but this particular concept was a really fun one to flesh out.
